Real Girls Wear Pearls, or, My Adventures in Jewelry

I don't know much about jewelry. Ask me anything you want about shoes, bags, and general apparel and I'll tell you all I know. And don't get me wrong, I love jewels, and diamonds are a girl's best friend, but when it comes to jewelry for myself, I've never "got it". I wear the same two rings, silver bracelet and watch everyday.

But lately I've been branching out, and instead of the same old diamond studs I've been wearing for years, I've started wearing more artistic studs instead. Target has been my friend- they have these great deals on post earrings. While I couldn't find them on the website, here are photos of my new earrings. Let me know what you think.

My next step is dangly earrings. But I'm not quite ready for those yet. I'll need more help from my sister for that.

Clockwise from top:
Diamond-shaped posts, $2.99
Rose bubble flower cluster, $3.99
Black cameo, $3.99
Enamel sunburst, white, $2.99

All from Target, and most were on sale. I love a good deal.

Any suggestions for where to find cute, inexpensive (under $10) posts?

Advice needed for dangly earrings, so please comment!!

Bejeweledly yours,
Nay

  1. I would suggest going to a jewelry party if you don't know much about what you're looking for (neither do I... seriously). Premier and Cookie Lee are two companies that come to mind. I'm sure that they have websites but the cool thing about these parties is that there is a rep that can help you and you can also try on the items before you buy them :)
